Asheville Storytelling Circle History:
Ten story lovers came together in August 1995 for the organizational meeting of what would come to be known far and wide as the Asheville Storytelling Circle. ASC tellers perform at dozens of festivals ranging from local to national, as well as for schools, libraries, Elderhostels, conferences, congregations and civic organizations. ASC members come from diverse backgrounds: chemist, librarian, retired college president, puppeteer, housewife, radio personality, publicist, actor, comedian, and social worker. Some members come only to listen . . . others to hone their craft telling stories which run the gamut of topics, styles, and origins.
Tickets are $20. Doors open 30 minutes prior to showtime, and seating is general admission (first-come, first-served). Online ticket sales end 1 hour prior to showtime. There may still be tickets available for sale in the office after online sales end. Call 828-669-0930 for more information.
