Our own Sam Pearsall founded and has since produced Roadhouse Storytellers on various stages in the NC Piedmont Triangle. Roadhouse Storytellers has put 58 different storytellers from 7 states on stage. Everything takes place at the historical landmark Bynum General Store, which opened in 1936 in the cotton mill town of Bynum, founded in 1872 on the banks of the Haw River. The Southern Order of Storytellers/Georgia Storytelling Network provides opportunities for storytellers to tell their stories in small group settings or before large audiences, network with other storytellers and serve as stewards for the preservation and perpetuation of the art of storytelling.
