PBS North Carolina presents—Southern Storytellers

Join us for a special screening of carefully curated clips from the new three-part PBS series, Southern Storytellers. The series follows some of the region's most compelling and influential contemporary creators to the places they call home—the communities that fertilize the stories they tell in books, songs, poems, plays and on screens large and small. 

Following the screening you are invited to participate in a virtual discussion and audience Q+A with local storytellers. The conversation will be led by Heather Burgiss, director of original productions, PBS North Carolina, who will be joined by author David Joy, featured in the series, along with Billy Welch and Brooks Bennett.

Discussion topics: storytelling through writing, various art mediums and film, preserving history through storytelling and more.
