Jeannie McPhail is a former library director from Kansas, who loves the North Carolina mountains. She is the author of three books, Dawn of Day, a middle-grade historical fiction novel; Trinity Tales of Tresia: A Most Remarkable Hat, (Book I) a middle-grade inspirational fantasy novel; and I Will Not Fear: A Chosen Life, a memoir. She is available to read excerpts about the Underground Railroad and Kansas, the subject of Dawn of Day. She will also read excerpts from her fantasy series and talk to students about her writing process and creating stories from their own imaginations.
