Appalachian stories, poems, and personal stories. Sandra brings seven generations of Scottish and Appalachian heritage to storytelling. She says her Daddy told stories at family gatherings and she didn’t know that storytelling was an art or entertainment medium for everyone to enjoy until much later on. Dedicated to storytelling, Sandra is the founder and a permanent board member of Asheville Storytelling Circle, and has also served NCSG on the board and as president. Her favorite stories are those that make people laugh, and she loves to tell about the people and places in western North Carolina.
