In a world of screens and social media videos, the face-to-face, real-time connection between teller and audience is rare and powerful. Kyra Freeman has been fascinated by storytelling since childhood. A former school library media specialist from Vermont, with 26 years’ experience working with children from kindergarten through high school, Kyra has relocated to Western North Carolina. She tells personal stories, folktales and literary tales to children and adults. She believes that a good metaphor can be the quickest path to the truth and enjoys the magic of leading others to tell stories live and in person.
