Sylvia PayneSylvia Payne grew up listening to her mother tell family stories. Through her animated style Sylvia’s stories captivate young and old alike, sometimes stretching deep into the soul. A former children’s librarian, she has been a storyteller and workshop presenter for over 35 years. She stretches the imagination with stories of history, original family stories, intriguing folktales, haunting tales and NC legends. Sylvia travels throughout the southeast entertaining audiences. Two of her programs are available through the NC Humanities to non-profit NC organizations.
