Elena MillerEnthusiastic, quick witted, energetic, humorous performer, Elena Diana Miller, creates happy faces for children and adults with her programs of folk music and creative stories from Aesop, Grimm and Jack Tales. Her storytelling and folk music programs for schools, clubs and professional organizations landed her a career in the National Park Service, where she performed in Grand Canyon, St. Louis Arch and Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site. She won the National Park Service National Award for “Best Interpretive Arts Program in U.S. N.P.S”. Currently she travels as a teacher for Life Long Learning Centers and Road Scholar and plays Appalachian lap dulcimer, guitar, autoharp, sings American folk songs and discusses history of the British Isles and its influence on the music and stories of Western North Carolina. Her undergraduate degree is in theatre arts with a master’s degree in literature, education and graduate teaching certification from the University of North Carolina.
