Arthur Lightbody was a Bible translator in the Philippines, and also served in support roles for Wycliffe and the related SIL and JAARS organizations.
Now retired from Wycliffe after more than 40 years, Arthur’s primary interest is in presenting the role of Scripture in Church Reformation history through his performances as John Wycliffe and William Tyndale. He is known in the Waxhaw area for presenting one-man shows on Andrew Jackson, appearing as Old Abe Lincoln and his involvement in some local theater.
Arthur is developing tall tales, accounts of joyous childhood memories and stories from life’s tougher situations. But, in all stories he likes to find aspects of peace. In addition, he has folktales from the Philippines he enjoys telling as well.
