After a career as an elementary teacher, college instructor, human relations trainer, and senior higher education administrator, I became a storyteller in 2001 and provide programs for audiences of all ages. Drawing on my academic background as an educator and leader, with a Ph.D. in human development and counseling, I give performances or workshops for organizations of all kinds, specializing in multicultural stories, personal stories about living in nine states and three foreign countries and traveling abroad. I offer storytelling development workshops for youth and adults and training in storytelling as a leadership skill. Using songs, colorful hats and puppets, my storytelling engages audience members in creating stories with me that touch the heart, explore cultural similarities and differences and build community.
