Storytelling saved Janice Davin’s career as a teacher and maybe her life. During 35 years in the classroom, she used stories to calm savage beasts, subdue mutinies, and make learning memorable. In 2005, Janice began a new career as a professional storyteller. Through performances and workshops, she fostered the transformative power of the spoken word as an integral part of 21st century literacy. Janice retired from storytelling in 2019. Currently Janice offers private retreats to members of NCSG and the Charlotte Center for Literary Arts, Inc. (CharlotteLit).
