Janel Behm is a graduate of Ohio State University (Columbus, OH) and has a bachelor’s degree in allied health. For 23 years, she worked as a physical therapist. Although born and raised in Northwest Ohio, Janel currently calls the Gulf Coast of Florida home, where she creates community around a campfire through her passion for the ukulele and her gift of storytelling. She is a member of the Tamiami Tale Tellers (Ft. Meyers, FL), the Florida Storytelling Association (Mount Dora, FL), and the National Storytelling Network (Kansas City, MO). Janel draws upon her love of theater, music, and nature to create a unique story experience for her audience. She specializes in ancient allegories from original cultures. “These stories are thousands of years old,” she explains, “but I love how they show us that the heart of humanity is unchanged.”
