Kay, Kiesa
Kiesa Kay, playwright and poet, shares stories that strengthen spirit and reinforce resilience. She is a member of Storytelling for Collective Healing, and offers workshops on sharing personally meaningful stories. Kiesa’s plays have traveled to five states so far. Love Makes a Home has been performed in many venues, including Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, the Folk Arts Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway, White Horse Black Mountain, the Thomas Wolfe Center for Narrative Studies at Lenoir Rhyne University, and as a convocation for Berea College. Thunder is the Mountain’s Voice was performed at Rocky Mountain National Park and the Park Village Playhouse. Kiesa directed Jo Carson’s A Tale of Two Charlies for the Orchard at Altapass and White Horse Black Mountain, featuring the stellar talents of storytellers Sherry Lovett and Larry Pearlman.
