Bio:Millie, aka "The Princess of Possum Corner", loves to tell stories from all venues. She uses not only the spoken word but incorporates her audience, puppets, props and music in her performances. "A Child's Life in Colonial America", a historical perspective program, introduces students to the life of colonial children using games, stories, music and crafts. She is an accomplished cornshuck doll maker which is used to help students understand the magic of "playing without batteries" in her program. Her CD "Momma Learns to Drive and other life stories" has been well received. Millie is a past board member of SCSN. She has been on the Children's Week staff of John C. Campbell Folk School since 2000 as well as performing in many festivals around South Carolina.
